Your Business Can Help The Homeless Through The Rescue Mission of Salt Lake
As a Salt Lake business, we know you take pride in our community. When you sponsor an event or engage your team of employees to volunteer together, you impact the lives of our most vulnerable residents and keep Utah the most charitable state in the nation.
Sponsor an Event
Sponsoring an event is a great way to benefit the homeless in Salt Lake City while providing your business with valuable exposure. Event recognition comes in the form of radio, television, newspaper, newsletter (print and digital) and social media exposure.
The Rescue Mission of Salt Lake holds a variety of banquets throughout the year, and has partnered with sports teams to promote the Rescue Mission during games. Whether you're supporting an established event or hosting a new one, we will find the right partnership for your business!
Engage Your Employees
Whether you would like to serve a meal, organize a food or clothing drive, assemble hygiene packages, or volunteer your professional skills, we have many options for your business to have fun serving the community while growing as a team.
“I had the privilege of participating in a holiday food drive for the Rescue Mission where our company, Primary Residential Mortgage, collected nearly 100 complete Thanksgiving meals. I have always been one that talked a lot about doing my part for the less fortunate and just never seemed to get it done. Sure, we would make the occasional trip to the DI or Savers to drop off a few things when we were doing some cleaning, but when I saw firsthand how thankful these individuals were for a single meal and how social they were despite their hardship, I was moved. Within the next few weeks, my family and I went through and looked at all the clothes on the shelves and hangers that we hadn’t worn in some time and decided it was time for us to do our part again. We collected close to 70 pairs of pants (men's and women's) and numerous other items, including suit coats and winter coats, and delivered them to the Rescue Mission. Since then, my daughter, who's away at East Carolina University, has started a shoe drive with her sorority. This is the best contagion our family has ever caught and here’s hoping you will catch it, too.
I guess I am telling you this for selfish reasons, because it made me and my family feel AMAZING and it will be a regular part of our lives going forward. I know you have other options to donate, but this is a way to give to someone who can’t afford anything, whether it is a meal, a suit coat for an interview, clothing, toiletries, or whatever else they need for a fresh start.
The Rescue Mission is a great organization with great people running it!!”
