Let's face it, we just couldn't do what we do without volunteers. As with most nonprofit organizations, the Rescue Mission of Salt Lake and its sister facility, the Women's Center, depend on volunteers to serve meals, run donation drives, set up banquets and mentor the men and women in our recovery program.
1. Groups and individuals to help serve our evening meal to the homeless. This is perfect for youth groups, churches, businesses and families. To schedule a time, contact the Mission's House Manager, Don Nicholson, at 801-355-1302.
If you are under 18 years of age - or are bringing someone under 18 - please download the Minors Volunteer Release Form, fill it out and bring it with you to your scheduled service time.
2. Groups and individuals to help with building upkeep such as painting, cleaning and yard work. Contact Don Nicholson at 801-355-1302 for more information.
3. Groups and individuals to help set up, take down and manage high-volume events like our Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter banquets. We post specific volunteer requests for these events on our Facebook page, so be on the lookout!
The King will reply, "Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me." ~Matthew 25:40
You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love. ~Galatians 5:13
